Information is the bridge to understanding.
Vodoun's image is often one-sided and extremely limited.
Black magic, pin puppets and obscure practices are always associated with it. Of course this has existed and it was the way the slaves from the past had to defend themselves against
the rulers. Besides them, there were the missionaries and colonials forcing their religion / culture / way of life in order to explore and take away the African treasures.
The reality is that Vodoun has been an official religion in Benin since 1987 but it is much more than that. It is a culture based on living in harmony with nature. The use of natural powers and herbs is also part of this.
It is a science that you should not play with because the effects are great.
Fortunately we can now change this image through our lectures.
